I'm a Sucker for Little Bows...

Normally I attempt to save lingerie reviews for HNT posts, but for some reason I was incapable of taking a photograph of myself in this chemise worth posting, so you get a stock shot of a model on a Saturday.
The darling Nancy of PinkCherry - one of my favourite sex toy suppliers sent me this darling little thing to strut around in. I do love Nancy - I want to take her out shopping and have indecent girly sleep-overs with her.
This adorable chemise is yet another from the Coquette line - they may be my new favourite outfitters. I have to confess, I do love the little blue bows. They add a nice splash of colour to the whole thing.
And this chemise? Super comfortable. You could actually sleep in this one with no problem at all - assuming that you don't have an audience who insists on tearing it off of you. Personally, I would want to get down and dirty still wearing it - that's the beauty of these things, isn't it? You can keep it on and still provide easy access.
This is one of those "one-size" chemises, and for me it fit fine. But again, it's mesh - so it won't hide all your sins. And I would choose any cute little panties to wear beneath it judiciously, another pair of black mesh to match would probably be the way to go.
My only complaint about this is that I had a hard time sorting out the breast adjustment (ah the joys of being a woman...). It didn't provide a lot of support, and while lack of coverage could be considered sexy, in this case I just found it to be a touch awkward.
I did love how it seemed to emphasize my ass though - the side slits and bows seemed placed just right for admiration of my legs and rear. I also think you would also do well wearing some lace stay-ups in this...
The chemise is ridiculously low-priced at $29.99, so I really see no reason to not buy it if you're in the market while shopping around for your other adult toy needs.
Overall? Super comfy, cute and shows off all the right things.
Duchess rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

Twinkle and Slick
This is an entirely overdue post, and I would like to thank the kind folks over at Durex for their patience with me. Did you know they offered more than just condoms? Me neither!
They were kind enough to send me a few samples from their pick & licks line as well as a "Twinkle." Sadly, at the time I had someone all lined up to try them out on - but that fell through, and so I'm giving a bit more of a theoretical promotion/review instead.
First of all: the Twinkle...
A cock ring that vibrates for up to 20 minutes. How fun is that?! Can be worn with a condom, can be turned off and on. Kind of cool.
I imagine this is the sort of thing that can be enjoyed either alone, or with a partner. Not having a cock myself, I'm afraid I wouldn't know. Hmmm...perhaps one could slip it onto a dildo and use it? Must try that...
Or even better, maybe I should offer to ship it off to one of my lovely readers in my contest from my last post...
Then the fun came! They sent me a whole menu of items to choose from in their "pick & licks" line. A range of flavoured & textured & different sized condoms, as well as some lubes and massage oils. It was just like Christmas!
So I chose a range of each type of thing, and settled on a strawberry flavour. The flavour options were positively delicious: cherry, pina colada, orange, banana, strawberry and apple.
Now what to do with condoms when one is briefly sans partner? Well, this assignment of course forced me to use my imagination. I practiced my technique of putting a condom on a cock with my mouth on a variety of toys. Oh, and once those toys were properly sheathed? Well who needs lube? Off I went for some vibrating fun!
Now I do still have some condoms left over - so all I need now is someone to take advantage of them with me. Any takers?

Em & Lo and Being a Sexpert
Sex: How to Do Everything!
Several weeks ago I was asked if I would be interested in checking out this DVD series and talking about it a bit. I'm always up for a bit of education, so I agreed to give it a try. I expected something along the lines of what I've reviewed before in the Nina Hartley series and was pleasantly surprised with what I received.
This series was originally shown on British television and shows the "relationship experts" Em & Lo doing a series on Sex. (I confess, I've never heard of them, but they were fun. I want to spend a day shopping, dancing and having a slumber party with them now).
There are 10 episodes on 3 DVDs featuring a range of "how to's"
Below is a mini clip of a bit of episode one on oral. This woman showing the girls techniques is le fab. She instructed them on how to do this sassy little crawl/slink up thevictim man straddle him and put a condom on him with your mouth. You bet your ass I'm going to practice that one on my vibes/dildos until I'm expert at it. It was totally hot and mesmerizing.
Each episode covers a range of techniques, interviews, a fun "confession booth" bit and roving reporters who try out a range of toys and workshops etc and give honest feedback. It's actually a really well-rounded and fascinating series. But the best part? It's fun and light. It doesn't get preachy or heavy, nor does it get too "sexy" or unrealistic. It's just real people talking about all aspects of sex.
One thing I learned? Apparently it is possible for men to give themselves blow jobs. Until they actually showed a real live guy doing it, I never would have believed anyone could be that flexible. Take up some yoga guys - you CAN do it!
Here's a run down of the episodes:
1. Oral
2. Manual
3. Orgasm
4. Sex Toys
5. Intercourse
6. Kinky
7. Fantasy
8. Anal
9. Seduction
10. Best of
There was an awesome section that showed an artist who does vagina casting. I was amazed at the range and beauty of them all. I have to confess, though I've even been to "The Vagina Monologues" I've never really thought about them that way. They truly are all unique and it's a fascinating project.
I would definitely say that this is worth the investment if you're curious about any aspect of sexuality. For the sake of getting this review done expeditiously (it's already been weeks!) I confess I haven't seen every episode yet. But this is one that I definitely want to finish - it's really been a great ride.
Duchess Rating: 4 stars.
If you're interested in picking it up, it's $35.98 and you can click on the image above.

Yeah, that's not me.
In case you haven't figured it out - I'm a brunette.
This is me:

See? Brunette.
Have I ever mentioned how I am in pink fluffy heart girl crush with Nancy at PinkCherry.ca? (Oh yeah, there's a .com version for all you non-Canadians too). Nancy sent me this slinky little chemise to model for you all. So, that means you get both a review AND a HNT from me all at once! How lucky are you?
I would love to have someone ripping this off of me right now. It's been...a while. Or at the very least, to feel some hot probing fingers reaching up under the skirt, caressing my thighs...rubbing my clit...fucking me with his hands...yanking it up to my waist and thrusting into me...
Because this? Is not meant for a sedate evening drinking tea and toddling off to bed alone. This? Is hot. And clingy. And translucent and revealing.
A girl wears this when she's looking to get some attention. Not when she's at home alone for the night watching chick flicks. Maybe for watching porn and reading some erotica.
Not a lot of details to be included really - the picture says it all. The one thing I will point out is that she's pulling that skirt out. It really is quite form fitting with just a hint of twirliness of th skirt, and definitely see-through. You will want to be selective when choosing (if any) which slutty little panties to wear under this. Definitely black and lacy is the way to go.
It has pretty little appliqués and (thank Goddess!) the front rhinestone bow thingy is a pin that's removable. It's made of nylon/lycra and the instructions indicate handwashing (which in my lazy world means that I toss it in a lingerie bag on delicate sans pin - but feel free to follow the instructions just in case...) The cost is $39.99 CDN or American.
I will say that I really like it. I've been sadly lacking in hot little chemises meant specifically to seduce in. This definitely fits the bill.
BUT - this does not hide your sins. Beware, this isn't what you would wear to disguise what you might want...disguised. I found myself positioning myself carefully when posing in the mirror, and deciding that I still had a few more pounds to go before I would be strutting in front of my french doors for the neighbours. (Or possibly after a few glasses of wine when I just know that I'm actually a supermodel - whichever comes first).

Beautiful
I've been doing toy reviews for getting on a year now, but am still delighted to find myself surprised by each new product as it arrives. I had come to suspect that I could tell simply by looking at a toy's photo on a site precisely whether or not I would enjoy it, how it would feel and whether it was worth it.However that has never come to fruition. I have looked forward to some products with gleeful anticipation only to find myself disappointingly "meh" about them once I've given them a test run.
And I've reluctantly taken on toys or been surprised by an unexpected product in the mail only to find that it becomes my new favourite.
When visiting with my darling Aurore over the holidays our conversation (naturally) led to sex toys. She was both shocked and appalled that I had never tried a glass dildo. She went on to explain to me her own exploits with one gentleman, a glass dildo and a freezer. Needless to say, it's not my story to tell, but she did manage to convince me that it was worth trying out.
I'd always avoided glass because it just didn't seem like a good idea to put something like that so close to my delicate pink parts. But deep-down it was probably just a reluctance to step outside my comfort zone. That and the fact that I just really like toys that vibrate on my clit.
So when my darling Nancy over at PinkCherry.ca asked me what I'd be interested in, I added a glass dildo to the list, mentally telling myself that I should think about Aurore when using it.
When it arrived though, I positively squeed in delight. Even if it did absolutely nothing for me physically, I have to say that it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I lamented the fact that I couldn't place it out on display somewhere - it was just that gorgeous. In fact I'm still trying to figure out if I can subtly add it to my décor while disguising it from it's true purpose to the innocent.
This is what I got: The Pink Flower Glass Dildo by Don Wands
Isn't it lovely??

Mundane website deets:
- Length - 7 1/2"
- Insertable length - 7 1/2"
- Girth - 4" at widest
- Width - 1 1/4"
- Material - Pyrex glass
- Special features - Double ended, hypoallergenic, hygienic, lube and pouch included
- Color - Clear, pink, multi colored flower
It. Was. Awesome.
What a totally different feeling. Not one I'm sure I can even entirely describe.
First of all, it was cold. I didn't do anything to chill it (the instructions advise a bowl of cold water vs the freezer) but even at room temperature, once inserted it felt frigid. But in a good way. Shocking and stimulating.
And hard. Now most toys are fairly solid and rigid. For the most part they're created to imitate an actual penis. And as you know, those are made of flesh and blood etc. Hard yes. But still with some softness and give.

A glass dildo though doesn't even pretend to be anything close to the real thing. It is shockingly hard and unforgiving. Now it does have a head, and little bumpy ridegs all over it to give it texture. And I have to say, in a toy like this, I found that I could feel those ridges even more than on a jelly or rubber toy. Absolutely.
Now I did couple this up with my favourite clit stimulator, but I have to say - it slid in nice and smooth and felt fantastic. To the point where I immediately ran to my email and thanked Aurore for suggesting such a thing. I think she was rather smug about it all.
So for those of you who've never tried one? Do it. Now.
This one costs $39.99 on the Canadian site and $29.99 on the American site. And worth every penny. I have nothing bad to say about this.
Now someone tell me how I can put this on display in my living room without offending people.

My First Strap-On!

I wore this out the other night.
Oh wait.
I don't mean I wore it OUT. Like not out of doors.
I mean I wore it until the battery stopped.
Because? It was kind of fab. I didn't want to take it off.
Let me set the scene:
After a squillion different attempts to figure out the straps I finally got it sorted. (Hi! I'm starting a Master's program in the Fall. But straps are beyond me. Who did I fuck to get that acceptance??)
Anyhow, after staring at the photo on the box a million times I finally got it right and managed to wear it the way it was meant to be worn. (Not to say that I hadn't tried it a couple of times already, oh no, I wasn't got to let my spazziness stop me from that kind of fun!)
So the other night I was...Lord I hate the word "horny" - note how infrequently you see that word in this blog - but there's really not other word for it - that's what I was: horny.
So I went onto my adult site and did a bit of exploring. And then got the brilliant idea that the entire experience would be SO MUCH better if I was wearing the strap on at the same time. I COULD TYPE AND VIBE SIMULTANEOUSLY! This is surely the best invention ever.
(Hi, I'm "Sexy" Duchess, and I've been writing a sex blog for over a year, yet I pee myself over a strap-on. Someone should revoke my sex blogger licence. Clearly.)
Anyhow, Nancy at Pinkcherry.ca is going to fire my ass if I don't get to the point of this post...
(Btw- everyone welcome Nancy back from her mat leave - we missed her!)
So: Remote Venus Butterfly Wearable Vibe by California Exotic Novelties is all kinds of fun.

The deets from the site:
- Length - 4" (butterfly)
- Girth - 6 1/4" around (with wings)
- Width - 3 1/2"
- Material - Thermoplastic rubber, ABS plastic, polyester (straps)
- Powered by - 1 x AA batteries
- Special Features - Multi-speed, comfortable nylon straps, compact and discreet, wireless, waterproof
- Color - Purple
And I absolutely loved it. It took a second to figure out the best placement, but once it's there, it's a great time. Since I wanted to multi-task, I slipped some panties on over it, wriggled a bit to find the proper position and let it do it's thing. And I was typing and playing for the better part of an hour before I noticed it was slowly dying.
Now to be fair, I used 1 x AAA battery and it wasn't brand new, so please don't think I wore it out with my vigorous squirming or anything. I imagine a shiny new battery would last quite a bit longer.
To add some reality to the situation:
It's not a mind-blowing crazy vibe. It's strong enough, but more subtle. I liked it for exactly what I used it for - a steady stimulation to keep me turned on while I did something else. I could see myself using it while I write or just wandering around my condo doing housework.
The only negative I have to say about the entire thing is that the battery took a while to "take." I had to press the button several times before it got going. I replaced it with about 3 different batteries before I actually gave up then noticed a buzzing sound a few minutes later and realized it was the vibe.
But aside from that? I have nothing bad to say about it. It was a lot of fun, and something that will definitely be going into my "vibes-I-use-and-like" box rather than the "vibes-I-reviewed-and-wish-I-could-find-someone-kinky-enough-to-take-off-my-hands" box.
Duchess rating: 4 out of 5.
Now the real question is: would I wear this OUT? So tempting ....we'll have to see...

Mia

I've been dreaming about owning a Lelo. The way I understand it, Lelo is the Cadillac of sex toy companies. To own a Lelo is like being part of an elite club, one that only a select few who are truly privileged and worthy are entitled to join.
I, however? Am apparently a peasant. An proletariat. A plebian.
My darling Christina at TabuToys.com sent me my first Lelo. Mia.
Mia is darling, and beautiful. Like all Lelo toys, she come beautifully packaged with a satin bag for storage. Mia is small and discreet and virtually weightless. She can be charged via your computer's USB drive to last for 4 hours.
But? She did nothing for me. Nothing.
I am both shocked and appalled at my apparent lack of class and bourgeousie-ness.
I am convinced that it must just be me.
For some reason, the vibes and shape simply didn't work for me.
Maybe I'm too accustomed to ultra large, ultra strong vibrators? I admit, I've never really been the type to look for small, subtle vibes. I prefer something with a bit more of a "wow" factor.
This isn't the kind of vibe that you pull out for a huge effect. It's small, and while it does have more than one stimulation mode, it's not going to shock you with it's strength.
This is the kind of vibe that you would bring along with you for discreet use, and maybe for travel. Or possibly during your coffee break at work? Nor is this the kind of vibe you're going to be using for thrusting or an intense night of action.
But, I think for what it's made for, it probably is fantastic. No batteries needed, easily transportable, and a few different modes.
We've all learned something about me though - apparently, subtlety is not what I look for in the bedroom. Good to know.
I will give it 3 stars out of 5 though, as I can clearly see that it is good at precisely what it's created for. $62.00 at Tabutoys.com.

Rubber Ducky, You're The One...

...You make bath time lots of fun!
I don't remember ever noticing before just how much Ernie really molests that duck.
The positively delightful (and patient) Jamie at the Adult Toy Shoppe (adult sex toy store) sent me my own little duck. And it did make bath time a lot of fun...
And what thrills me more? I can leave it out all the time. It just looks kinda cute and whimsical in the shower - who would ever guess that it serves another function. (And if they do know, then hey - maybe they'll want to join me for some shower time fun!)
I've seen this toy before, and have always been interested to try it - as I do have a fondness for non-phallically shaped toys. And really, I could never quite figure out just how I would use it - without feeling all weird for de-flowering a duck that is.
So what is the "I Rub My Duckie" all about?
Here are the deets from the website:
- Not too big and not too small, fits comfortably in your hand and is made of smooth, and sensual non-toxic plastic-rubber like material.
- Requires two AA batteries. (Included) (**Can I say how awesome it is to actually have batteries included for once?!)
- Measures 3 inches wide, 5 inches long and 4.5 inches high from the head to the bottom. A screwdriver (not included) is required to open the door to insert the batteries.
- Obviously the toy is waterproof (duh!) and you turn it on just by pressing on it's back.
- There's no obvious switch. It come with one speed of vibration.
- Since it's made of rubber, it's very porous and doesn't clean well, but so far, mine still looks just fine.
- The cost is $21.99 at the Adult Sex Toy Shoppe site, which is cheaper than I've seen it in other places.
So what did I think of it?
Well, I was fascinated with the concept - just how DO you get yourself off with this thing? The packaging encourages use of the tail, the head and beak.
The head does give a different sensation (being rounder) than the tail and beak do.
The vibration is pretty strong, so I can definitely say that I felt no matter what part of the duck I was rubbing all over me.
Obviously this isn't the kind of toy that you would use for thrusting, I think the main purpose is for clit stimulation, and it gives a nice gentle massage as well.
Let's paint a little picture shall we?
I strip down and step into the hot, wet steamy shower. I'm slick and sudsy and touching myself all over. This morning, all I've been thinking about is Leopold, so really, it wouldn't take much to take me over the edge.
I squeeze my breasts and slip my fingers between my legs - who can tell if the heat and wetness is from anything other than the water pounding my naked flesh?
I grab the ducky and pinch it to make it quiver.
The naughty little bird slips its feathers into my nether regions.
It's tails runs over my tits.
It's head and beak nuzzle into my pink folds below.
And how do I feel?
OK.
Le sigh.
The duck was nice. It had a nice vibration to it. And it does offer a few areas of stimulation. But it just didn't do much for me.
I don't know if the edges needed to be more pronounced, or if it needed a stronger vibe, or more options...
I'm not sure, but for me, it was just OK.
I would recommend it in a few circumstances:
1. As a discreet toy you don't have to hide.
2. If you like waterproof toys and want to have fun in the bath or shower.
3. If you are relatively new and/or shy about sex toys, and want something gentle and subtle to try out.
4. If you want to use it as a bit of foreplay with a partner in the shower before getting down to the real action.
I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for an intense night of hard simulated fucking and screaming orgasm. I just don't think this toy could even come close.
Overall, it wasn't bad. I think the toy did exactly what it promises to do. But for me, I like something that has a bit more of a "Wow!" factor.
Duchess rating: 2.5 stars.

Sexperty - ITap G-Vibe & Egg
So my darlings over at California Exotics were kind enough to send over two items for review again. They are so thorough! One item focused on the G-spot, and the other on the clit.
The first item was the: iTap G-vibe

• 2.5”x 1.3”/6 cm x 3 cm
So what did I think of them?
First of all, like most CalExotics products - I love the texture and material of their toys. Both items are made with a Velvet cote material which is positively delicious on the skin- I just want to rub it all over myself. The material is velvety (obvs!) to the touch, non porous and phthalate-free. You can clea
n it with an anti-bacterial soap and water, and the best lube to use is a water-or silicone-based.
Now as for the itap? How fun! All you have to do is lightly touch the bottom and it turns on, switches modes, and turns off. It is very sensitive, and before I got used to it, I ended up accidentally switching modes all over the place.
Now the feel? Well, it is HARD. And not in a "Oh Baby, you're sooo hard" kind of way. More in a it-will-bruise-you-if-you-thwack-yourself-with-it kind of way. (Yes, "thwack" is a technical "Sexpert" term now).
The vibe is strong though, and it definitely got the job done. It's relatively slim, so I had no problems with insertion, and even just rubbing it all over got me going.

As for the Wonder Egg?
Well- that one gave me a few more challenges. Based on other reviews I've read, I actually wonder if I didn't get a defective one.
The cute little batteries are included, and screwing on the top is certainly not effortless. But I do like the little touch-button at the end of the cord. However, my egg? Once I pressed the button, it just never stopped cycling through the vibration modes. I actually had to unscrew the top in order to turn it off. And as mentioned above? Screwing it back on is a pain.
However, I asked someone else who was given this toy to review about this problem, and they said that this wasn't an issue for them - so this may just be with the toy I received, and you perhaps shouldn't make your decision based on my one experience.
The vibe itself is very strong, and there are a few cycles of varying intensities. I got stimulated just running it over my panties, so it definitely has that going for it.
On the whole though, I'm not really a fan of eggs - so between that and the annoyance with the power, I don't think I'll be pulling this out very often.

Sexperty II - Miracle Massagers

So the delightful folk over at California Exotic Novelties sent over my latest assignment, and even included two toys to compare and contrast!
The Mini Miracle Massager and the Mini Miracle Massager Wand. How lucky am I?
Here are the deets on the regular massager (right from the CalExotics website):
High intensity, ultra-powerful massager
• 2-speed • Ergonomic shape for ease-of-use • Spring mounted ribbed head • EZ grip handle • PP (handle) PVC (head) • 120 Volt AC • 2.5” x 2”/6 cm x 5 cm (head) • 10.5” x 2” 27 cm x 5 cm (overall)
I couldn't find deets about the wand on the site, but I will say that it is slightly smaller, and uses 2 AA batteries, as opposed to plugging in the wall.
The CalExotics site doesn't seem to sell the products, but I did find this on the Eden Fantasys site for $41.99.
So what did I think?
Well as per usual, if it says "massager" on it, I have to try it out as that first of all. And to my surprise, the regular massager was actually quite effective. A strong vibration that actually felt really nice on my back, neck and feet.
This toy plugs in, so you have to be near an outlet to use it, but other than that, it's a great product. Good vibe, not too heavy, and nicely shaped for the hand.
The "wand" version is smaller and the vibe is not nearly as strong. The "massaging" function wasn't nearly as effective. However it is waterproof, and even lighter than the larger version. And as mentioned above, it is more portable, because it takes batteries.
Now as for using it as a sex toy? I have to say - I preferred it as a massager. They both have a rather annoying "lawn mower" kind of buzzing sound which I found distracting when trying to immerse myself in my fantasy world.
And the vibe? I actually just didn't really like it on my clit. And as you can see in the photo, it's not really shaped for any kind of thrusting.
Care of the toy?
It's made of plastic/pvc so:
Should be cleaned with warm- hot water and antibacterial soap.
Lube: water or silicone
Overall, I have to say that I'm pleased to have a nice new massager, but as a sex toy? Not so much.
Duchess rating: 3 out of 5 stars.
